It does not have a rubber back. I anchor the four corners with a floor tile that was surplus. This keeps the mat in place when the wind blows when the garage door is open. The mat does a good job of catching any drippings from the bottom of the cart and free from the floor. The mat can be cleaned with a hose and or blower. The drippings were ruining my concrete floor. I repaired and painted the floor and bought the mat and everything is good.
I don’t know the actual thickness but I can tell you that it’s more than adequate for our club card since we’ve had it about a month now and we are very pleased
