Club Car-EZGO - Resistor

The Club Car and E-Z-GO Resistor Assembly is a small item that serves a great purpose, several actually. The first being that it extends the life of your solenoid. The relay on your caddie is the most contacted switch, which means that with regular use, you are going to end up replacing it several times during the life of the golf cart. We can reduce that number with this simple little part that bolts between the two large terminals on the solenoid. It allows a pre-charge of the entire battery packs voltage at very low amperage to pre-charge the output terminal of the contactor. By doing this, it prevents a large arc internally in the solenoid when it clicks in. This alone can almost triple the life of a relay.

This golf cart resistor will work for some EZGO and Club Car models, but please be careful. Not every golf cart calls for one of these, and if you use it on a system that does not need it, the result could be detrimental. Give Buggies Unlimited a shout and get this reserved.
