Keeping the compression up on your golf cart is a vital component of regular operation. If it is allowed to slip even a little, critical items will stop working. This is why parts like the EZGO Gasket Set for 2-Cycle 1980-88 are so important. The standard pressure reading taken at the cylinder is about 140 pounds or maybe a little higher. Any lower and performance is going to start to slip. At 120 pounds of pressure, only 20 off of standard, your carb and fuel pump are going to struggle to get gas from the tank to the engine. At 100 pounds of compression, the golf cart will just put around at about a mile an hour. Any less than that reading, and you are not moving at all.
