Jakes 4" lift on a 1988 Club Car DS Gas
Fairly easy install with no need to remove body. We needed the extra ground clearance for driving the cart around our farm. Another good feature is that although recommended, it was not necessary to change our stock rims due to the lift height. Ride remains the same and just remove brake cable hangars. Added New Hubs as well since once apart I found the bearings had done some damage to them. The only issue I see with any lift kit is why there is no bespoke exhaust solution to raise the muffler to mitigate potential damage due to it's somewhat stock location post lift.

Second kit bad from stock
First thing we noticed the threads on the upper support arm are bad on both sides. Next problem shows up when we actually put the cart back on the ground. I ordered a 4” lift kit and it seems we received a 6” kit in the box. Contact3d customer supply and received the second lift and it is also a 6” lift and the threads on the kit are messed up also. Not happy at this time poor quality.

I used jakes 4" double arm lift kit on my 1995 club car carryall 1 to replace a 10 yr old lift kit from a fly by night company, and the jakes kit
Is so much stronger and engineered so much better!
With more adjustments to set up the steering perfectly!

Jake's 4" Club Car Lift 1991 DS Gas
This kit was very easy to install for a person who is handy with tools. the directions were great and easy to understand. I also installed a heavy rear spring kit at the same time so some of the U-Bolts did not work. I bought regular bolts and ran them through the top spring/shock bracket and they seem fine. I may have u-bolts custom made as insurance to keep any future issues from happening. With this kit I was able to fit the 23" tires on the cart with room to spare. I recommend this kit to everyone.
