Product Details

If getting from forward to reverse has become cumbersome, pick up a Club Car Forward Reverse Shifter Handle Extension from Buggies Unlimited and make it accessible again. There is nothing worse than having to get out of your caddie and force it into one gear or the other.

As we get older, things get harder to accomplish. What we once did as teenagers can seem like an impossibility even in our thirties. The same goes for your coach. As things age, they get stiffer in some places and worn out in others. All you can do is stay ahead of the curve with this Club Car part.

If things are impossible to move without an immense amount of force, you may be up against another issue. Don't get us wrong; we would love to sell you this extension, but if it does not fix the problem, we need to get to the bottom of that first.

On a gas model, it could be something simple like a frozen cable. On the electric's, however, it could mean welded contacts. Lifting the golf cart seat and doing a thorough inspection is always a good idea. You want to make sure you order and receive everything you need at one time.

Getting this golf cart shifter handle installed is not an issue at all. You are not going to need any fancy tools or gadgets. This is just a straightforward installation. Call a buddy over to help. You may not think you need it, as you can swap this out on your own in about fifteen minutes. However, we always recommend that you have a friend close by, if only for safety's sake. It's a lot easier for someone else to put a bandaid on your fingertip than trying to do it solo. If you have any questions, Call Buggies Unlimited today.

Note: Will NOT work on carts with a rocker style switch for forward and reverse selection

Excellent piece
Great piece. Saves you from bending down to change gears and ease of operation is terrific. Sorry I didn’t buy it as soon as I bought my cart.

Awesome design!
This handle extension is precisely what I needed. The handle should have been designed this way from the beginning. Forward/reverse shifting used to be clumsy and difficult. Now, I can shift back and forth with one finger. I wish I would have found it sooner.

Bad design shifter selector.
Very disappointed in the shifter lever for the club car precedent, the problem I have is that lever was about a 45° angle away from the console and therefore it touched our leg in a forward or reverse situation I took the old lever and altered it with a 6” stem to make it go straight up and down and that way it’s as high as the top of the seat but not in the way when shifting toughing your leg when shifting gears. A design change to have shifter in a straight up position and as tall as top of seat is so much easier to use than the club car OEM shifter. Was a wasted $28

Does this come with the Forward and Reverse Screw for the Club Car Precedent 2004+? I had to saw mine off because I couldn't get it off, and I do not see one listed on here for the Precedent only the DS one. Thank you.

It does not but the DS screw will work for your PREC.

Will this work on a Club Car Precedent 2004+?

No , you have a rocker switch , therefore won't work

Does this fit on 2019 onward gas cart?

Don’t know

does this have a small hole in the back or a big one?

Small hole in front side for screw, back side is larger hole with a flat side that indexes on shaft of shifter rod.Enter

The shifter handle will not come off after I removed the screw?

Often the handle becomes wedged after years of use. I just used a flat bar (like the ones you use to remove nails) to carefully unswedge the handle. Hope this helps.

My Carryall has it's shifter on the side .why is that because I never have seen it before ?

This one fits any size screw if you tighten through it on the shifter. I had mine hanging to shift gears like scratching carts balls
