Your EZGO utilizes two different types of suspension systems to not only provide the support you need but the soft ride you expect. The leaf springs on your golf cart are what actually carry the load of the vehicle. These units support any passenger or additional weight. Relying on those alone would allow your caddie to function. Still, it would absolutely beat you to death with its lack of soft suspension. What actually dampens the ride and makes it tolerable is the E-Z-GO Marathon Rear Shock. This unit slows down the travel of the leaf spring and makes it rebound less with every bump in the road.This golf cart rear shock is ten and a half inches when it is closed and measures 13 and a quarter inches when it's fully extended.
