Cart Subtotal:
You can see the evolution of a great thing in the Club Car Electric Reverse Switch Kit. They took several steps toward the future in the programming of their caddies, and those are most evident with this part. The first was a single switch lever style. Somewhere along the way, we encountered these two microswitch units. The newest items are not even lever style, but closer to the rocker tyle switch that turns the lights on in your house. When you call and talk to one of our experts, they may ask you about this Club Car part. It is just a quick and easy way to identify the year. This is a copper-contacted golf cart reverse lever. Over time, with just the natural shifting motion, this unit will wear out. Copper is a soft metal that heats up rather quickly. If you have a bad battery, the high amperage could weld this in one direction or the other. We have had customers call in for a golf cart replacement part, saying the original worked fine until they tried to climb a hill backward with low charge. Well, when you discharge your batteries and the voltage drops, the amperage will skyrocket. This causes an astronomical amount of heat. One of the first places it tries to dissipate is this switch. Please do yourself a favor and keep your charger plugged in Whenever you are not using it. Keeping your batteries fully charged is the best way to preserve them. Protect that investment. This is not a hard part to install. You do not need to jack up the cart or anything like that. You will be dealing with the whole battery pack voltage, though. If this reaches out and grabs you, we promise you will not like it. Have a buddy there for safety, and call Buggies Unlimited for anything you need.
