The parking brake on a golf cart is simply named the hill brake. The Club Car DS Hill Brake Pad is the rubber cushion that mounts on top of the little lever attached to your brake pedal. When depressed properly, this will lock the brakes in place and prevent the caddie from rolling down the hill or into traffic. Newer models do this with an electric motor brake, but we prefer the older style that does not require charged batteries to stop a car safely. This little pad goes a long way in making sure you get the brakes locked. Without it, you would not be able to do this with your foot. Instead, you would have to reach down and set it by hand.
