There are two belts on your golf cart. Each is vital to the operation of your caddie. If you were missing one or the other, the vehicle would not run for a different reason. The drive belt transfers power from the engine to the rear wheels, but that is a discussion for another page. The EZGO Standard Starter Generator Belt is responsible for getting the cart running. When you first hit your pedal, before the engine can start, the starter generator starts turning the belt which spins the clutch. This gets the crankshaft spinning and starts the engine. Without the belt connecting the two, the starter would spin until the battery dies, but that is all.This is a half-inch wide golf cart starter belt that measures 34-7/8-inches in circumference.
