Product Details

You are here for a reason, and we want to help no matter what. What was it? Your neighbor beat you to the punch and got a controller for his cart, and now he beats you off the line? Put him in his place with the 36-Volt E-Z-GO TXT AMD Series Speed Motor. He will get whiplash with the speed you are going to pass him. You better get a rearview mirror as well so you can savor his face as you steadily pull away.

This Speed Motor fits all 36-Volt Models that have series drive systems. It sports 4 HP @ 4,400 RPM, which is way more than the OEM unit. This is why it pays to shop aftermarket. Finally, we are looking at a 19 spline coupler, which can be used on EZGO or Yamaha. You know you want to call Buggies Unlimited and get one ordered today. Make it the last time you have to lose ground to anyone in your golf cart.

First time ordering from here and David walked me threw the motor options for my 2002 EZ-Go cart. Had 3 options and I picked the middle grade motor. Shipped on time and bolted in place of my bad motor. Runs great. Very impressed with the customer service from David. If anyone is looking to buy anything from here my experience was grade A-++. Thanks again David!

The motor runs and then won’t kind of intermittent but has power and ground too it?
Does this motor fit 1982 g 2 ?

Yes, as long as you have a 19 spline shaft, this motor works for G2/9.

Confirming this motor is for an EZGO series cart?

Yes sir it’s an eleven spline and has about 20
Percent more power than the original Ezgo motor.I added the newer style All trax controller and solenoid. My top speed went too 27 miles an hour .Magnificent products .

I have what I believe to be is an 2004 Ez-Go TXT Series 36V.  F/R below seat by knee, no run/tow switch, 4 bolt steering column.  Will this motor work? I assume I will I need to upgrade solenoid but will I also need to upgrade controller or anything else?

This motor would be compatible with your Series system. It is mapped out of the box to optimally perform in combination with certain upgraded controllers we sell, however, it can be used with other controllers as well. Just keep in mind, you will always be limited by your lowest-performing component on these Series systems.

my cart keeps burning up the forward and reverse switch have replaced three times and had no luck. any suggestions?

You have to make sure your cables to and from the switch is clean and flexible. The older your cables the higher the amp draw the worse the heat creation on contacts. All connections to be made with dielectric grease and clean and tight. Good luck!!!

I have a 94 ezgo, press the pedal it move about 8 or 10 ft then stops. Wait 10 minutes  and it will do the same thing. Any ideas?

My 2001 txt did about the same thing and after checking the controller, the solenoid, the F&R switches, TPS plunger and microswitch, I pulled the motor and found that 2 of the 4 brushes were totally worn down and had come out of the brush holder and the braided brush wires were touching the cummutator and grooves scored into it and I could tell how extremely hot it had gotten in the motor from the purple colored dust everywhere on the inside the motor. I put this new motor on about 18 months ago and it hasn’t stopped since. Plus the new motor is 4hp & 4000 rpm replaced a 2.4hp (i don’t know the old motor rpm) & picked up about 5-7mph in speed.

Can you push more than 36 votes through a motor that is rated 36v?

Don’t believe so. Call buggies and ask they will help with whatever questions you have.

Is this the best motor for a 2006 ez-go txt with forward/reverse on dash and a run/tow switch?

7146 is stock and 3267 is speed for your cart.

Will this fit 2005 TXT?

Give me a call when you get a moment, I would have a couple of questions about the cart to see if this would work. 904/659-9967 My name is Billy

I have a 2007 model TXT golf cart. which motor to buy?

Is your forward/reverse lever down by the legs? Is there a run/tow switch under the seat?
