When you are working on Generation 2 EZGO TXT models, there are a couple of things to keep in mind. First off, this model does not start until 2001. Anything before that is the earlier first-gen or a Marathon if you get old enough. Secondly, there are several changes that you need to be aware of if you are going to do your own repair work. One of the most glaring ones is the Front Axle Weldment. On these newer golf carts, the steering box is mounted right to it. The more vintage models were frame-mounted and harder to access. This does, however, add several steps to the lifting process, just something to keep in the back of your head when you are shopping for hard parts. This aftermarket front axle will fit that later model golf cart discussed above; as long as you are newer than 2001, this should work great. This is considered a replacement OEM item for your golf cart, so you can match it up with your IPL if you want to make sure you have the right one. Just reference number 70963-G02P.
