Cart Subtotal:
There are several cool features that golf carts have these days. We are still blown away by the run time of these electric carts and the efficiency the gas ones boast. Those are just the meat and potatoes of the matter. Manufacturers have been moving leaps and bounds towards ease of access and comfort since day one. Parts like the Club Car Precedent Rear Strut Set for gas and electric models. A drain is built into the top and support system that allows the rainwater to escape under the cart. This is much better than sloshing in your golf bag and down your back. These are unique upgrades you will never know you missed until they are gone. Don't try to just make something work; you will wind up soaked.
This golf cart strut set is effortless to install. You need a basic set of tools to remove the old ones and install the aftermarket replacements. Do not forget the broomstick to hold the top while you are in transition. That is the most essential tool of this job. Call Buggies Unlimited today.
How do you replace the rear struts
Hello Ron
Struts are not aluminum, they're a form of dense plastic, not really sure what they're made from.
I replaced mine almost 2 years ago and they have done well, the golf course I belong to has replaced the struts on some of their carts , and they have all held up well.
Hope this helps
Struts looks exactly like the original struts , I would suggest that before installation of the new struts that if any hole are needed for sand bottles, fold up bag protectors , etc. that you pre-drill the holes.
Also, loosen the nuts and bolts that hold the front of the top, this allows the roof of the cart to be raised slightly to help drop the struts into the openings on cart
Over all installation of replacements went very well and took just over an hour.
Dustin the bolts go through the strut the frame has threads to receive the bolts I had to you tube it but it is fairly easy to do
Hi Dick, unfortunately these only work on Precedent carts and the dimensions will not be the same for your Workhorse. I suggest a more universal rear strut for your cart if you're attaching it to a cargo box, like the set below.
I would assume so but I can’t really answer because my cart does not have a fold down rear seat and it takes to people to install because you have to raise the roof quite a bit to get the bottom of strut in the receiver
Do these struts work on 2017 President ?
