The Club Car Precedent Steering Box Assembly is a complicated little device. We are here to help you understand how it works. Unlike older steering boxes that were single throw, this is a double throw. What that means is instead of having just one drag link coming out of one side of the steering box, it's got tie rod ends coming out of both sides. This handy little feature eliminates the long tire rod needed to run from the passenger side to the driver side, connecting the spindles. This is just one less part to get bent or damaged when your golf cart gets in a precarious spot. Tie rods get taken out by stumps and all kinds of ground objects. Not a worry anymore, thanks to this setup. This golf cart steering box is a rack and pinion style setup, and it fits the 2004 and newer Precedent models. Unfortunately, there is no way to convert the older models to the newer style steering without a long travel lift kit. Call Buggies Unlimited today.
