On newer golf carts, the smaller parts are just as crucial as, the larger ones, thanks in full to the controller. Things like the accelerator stop switch and the Key Switch for 08-up EZGO RXV electric all have to signal back to the controller. If you have ever laid eyes on that brain box, you will have noticed the 35, plus or minus, pin connector coming out of the front. All of these wires are either signal going to or coming from somewhere. Unlike the older models that use an activation circuit to protect the controller, the newer models use the EZGO controller as a multi-point safety check. If it does not get all of its signals, the caddie will not be allowed to run.
This golf cart key switch is not like the ones of yore that has nothing but a couple of screws or tabs on the back. This will have a handy pigtail that plugs right into a harness. Call Buggies Unlimited and get one coming.
Yes, and it also shows a key in the picture.
Yes standard key. One key fits many of this switch
Unfortunately it will not fit.
Not sure this will help. My buggy was doing same thing. I found my battery connections had worked loose. I cleaned and tightened them and it helped the problem
