2008-Up EZGO RXV - Starter and Generator Belt
Review:
The EGZO RXV Starter Generator Belt is a very high-wear item. This belt rides in-between the pulley sheaves that mount to the starter and the rear pulley on the drive or primary clutch. As the starter spins on battery power alone, this belt starts to rotate the clutch system. When this happens, the EZGO crankshaft starts turning, and a spark gets produced at the plug. This creates the perfect condition to start the engine once the fuel starts flowing. Once the caddie runs, the clutch spins the belt and pulley attached to the starter, generating power to dump back into the battery. The first part of this system is the starting side, and the latter is the generating side. As you can imagine, this wears out a belt pretty quickly. The golf cart will have trouble starting and charging if you lose even an eighth of an inch in thickness.This golf cart starter belt replaces OEM numbers 606138 and 16548G1. If you happen to have your parts manual handy, please check and make sure these match. These will only work for the RXV with the single-cylinder engine. If you have the older twin-cylinder, you need to call Buggies Unlimited and get someone to show you the way!
