Product Details

Using your golf cart during the day is a beautiful thing. Being seen and taking in your surroundings are no problem when you have plenty of sunshine. But at night time, it's an entirely different story. Not only is it harder for you to see the obstacles in your path, but it's also harder for others to see you. A caddy is a small vehicle on the road compared to a car or truck. They are easy to miss if you are not looking for them. Use products like the GTW Headlight and Taillight Combo to ensure you can not only see what's coming but to make others aware that you are pulling around the bend as well. This is a simple solution to a huge safety issue.

If you think installing a golf cart light kit is something a professional needs to handle, you could not be more wrong. We send this Yamaha Headlight and Tailight system with step-by-step instructions so you can get it done in the driveway. Call Buggies Unlimited now.

Tech Tips:

  • All electrical accessories such as Headlight & Taillight kits, fans, & Audio equipment operate on a 12 volt input
  • For 36/48-volt electric carts we highly recommend the use of a voltage converter
  • Voltage converters will take the entire 36/48-volt battery pack and drop the voltage down to the operational 12 volts
  • Only wiring a couple of batteries out of the battery pack to achieve that 12 volts will result in damage to those batteries and shortening the life of the pack
  • For 36/48-volt electric carts we highly recommend the use of a voltage converter:
    • For Single Accessory: 13-084 (*sold separately)
    • For Multiple Accessory: 13-030 / 13-034 (*sold separately)
  • GTW light kit housing is the same dimensions as the OEM light kits
  • If you have a factory OEM light kit you are replacing, the GTW will go into the same space with little to no trimming

Nice light kit.
Nice overall light kit. Wires are just the rite length. Not too short...not too long. The lights fit very well in the fender. Not as bright as led but they make a decent amount of light.

Good Value
These look good and work well. The fronts look like OEM but the back where the bulb attaches is pretty lame..probably would leak into the lens if much water gets back there. The wiring harness looks to be set up for turn signals and brake so should be good to go if you ever want to upgrade to that functionality. The headlight bulb holders are obstructed by the inner parts of the cart body so if you just shove them in there they head lights will not adjust below rooftop aim. LOL So instead of cutting out clearance I used a heat gun and heated the area and indented the area so the lights had clearance so Now I can adjust these correctly.

Nice quality and fairly easy install .
The lights look like a factory install. One thing tho, they do hit the back of the glove box on this 1999 g16 that I put them on. I used an off brand rotary tool with a Dremel multi purpose cutting (rotary)bit to cut thru the fiberglass

does this light clear the glove box ?

My yamaha G16 doesnt really have a “glove box.” But the headlights do clear what I would refer to as the “dash storage area.” Ive had this kit installed about a year and a half. Its a good bare bones economical kit. Only issue i had was after about a year my on off switch stopped workimg that came with the kit. I picked up another at the local auto parts store for a couple bucks and I am back in business. The old saying measure twice cut once goes a long way with this kit if you are doing a brand new install like i did. But i would rate this as very easy as far as complexity.

Will this wire up to a 48 volt system?

yes but you need to make the connection at the first battery in the series , the one that is 12 volt output.

I have a 2006 Yamaha G22 cart. Is this light kit correct for this model?

I fabricated mine to fit and used a heat gun to mold the plastic headlight trim to form to the contour of the body, the light kit is a nice kit

I'm looking for a street legal light kit that will fit my Yamaha G8 got any suggestions?

The kit I bought fit very good like a factory kit. I bought g 14 thru 22 kit.

Will this fit on a g9 Yamaha?

Possibly? The G9 has a flatter front than my g16, so im not sure about the curvature of the lights fitting flush to a g9. As far as the electrical that is universal and would work.

I have a 1996 Yamaha G16.  Will these headlights work with it?

If it is electric you have to have an inverter to switch it from 48 V or 36 to 12

as to the headlight kit for the G9, are the mounting bolts, etc. included?

Mounting bolts are not needed. The kit was complete with screws for mounting head and tail lights to the body.

What bulbs are used for the headlights? Are they common bulbs that you can buy locally to replace when needed?

You can but them at any auto parts store.

will a g22 light set fit a g9 ?

No

I have a 2000 g19e  yamaha.  I've install the light kit  with no luck with them turning on?

Check for proper grounds. Then check all other connections. Power to switch, then to lights.
