Choose the right tire for your golf cart with our guide covering the differences between Low-Pro, Off-Road, and All-Terrain options.
Tires and wheels are a great way to customize your golf cart. At Buggies Unlimited, we offer three different types of upgraded tires: a low-pro street model, an all-terrain, and an off-road tire. The biggest difference between these tires is the tread.
Low-Pro Street Golf Cart Tires
You'll notice on the low-pro street tires that the tread pattern is flatter and not as aggressive as the other two options. This tire is turf friendly and gives you better contact on asphalt and pavement.
Off-Road Golf Cart Tires
Off-road tires have a deeper and more aggressive tread pattern for optimal off-road use. These tires have large spaces between the lugs, helping to clear out mud and debris. On off-road tires, the tread pattern wraps around the sidewall helping with traction while you're off-roading. This tire is not meant for paved surfaces as it will shorten the life of your tread.
All-Terrain Golf Cart Tires
All-terrain tires are the most popular option because they offer the best of both worlds. The tread pattern is a hybrid of the other two tires. The lugs are more compact than those of the off-road tire but are not as smooth as those of a street tire. This gives you a smooth ride on paved surfaces, but still provides enough traction for light off-road usage.
