Cart Subtotal:
Golf carts are like the multi-tool of the small transport world. We use them for everything. There is no job too intimidating for a Club Car, from golfing to hunting. These carts never miss a beat, especially when towing your other toys around the yard or campground. When set up correctly, your cart can outperform a work truck in a lot of situations. One major upgrade needed before you start towing the boat to the launch is the Club Car DS Heavy Duty Rear Leaf Spring Kit from Buggies Unlimited. Make sure you have the capacity you need to do anything you want with this package.
Most folks think HD leaf springs only come into play when you have a cargo box or rear seat. In both of those cases, they would help immensely. However, the real reason most people upgrade their Club Car's suspension is so they can move their RV or other heavy toys around without having to fire up their truck. Buggies Unlimited has the full package with all the hardware you need.
No, they just replaced the original springs and eliminate the rear shocks. Important if you you put a rear seat on the cart
I have 12” wheels on my cart and have no issues with clearance (I have normal rubber, not off road nubby).
I upgraded to these spring because my bother-in-laws are larger men and the stock spring would bottom out. Now I do not have that issue. With the new springs I replaced all the bushings and shocks as well.
Hope this helps.
no they won't but you don't need them, I put these on 2 years ago and kept us from bottoming out,
Works good. Unlike advice from this product, I would keep the shocks. This is not an easy installation. You will need additional lengths o hardened bolts.
the same width as your Original Equipment Leaf Springs, Mine were 1 5/8" wide.
Call buggies unlimited sales they will help you I think there is a little difference between the ds and precedent
I had 8 inch wheels. Do not know if 10 inch wheels work. The kit make cart not go down as far but does not raise the body of cart up.
Not hard at all if your equipped with a floor jack and some jack stands. jack the cart up on one side and put a jack stand under the body in front of the rear wheels. then put floor jack under the axle side to be changed. loosen u bolts and shock. lower axle enough to take the bolts out of the spring shackles. new bushings can be ordered or new HD springs can be installed at this time. reverse process to reassemble.
I personally did not think it made a difference to the ride. The spring is designed to only stiffen up as load is applied like when you have additional riders on the back.
I don’t believe so .
