Product Details

When you need ground clearance to ensure the life of your floorboards, look no further than the GTW 6 Inch Double A-Arm Lift Kit. This unit fits the Club Car DS 2004.5-Up with plastic hub covers, and it will work for gas & electric models. With increased suspension travel, this kit will provide for a smoother off-road experience. Even if you have an older Club Car, you can install this lift by converting it to a newer style front hub. The beauty of an a-arm system is it allows for camber and tow adjustments, which will increase your tires' life. Get the grease gun ready as it's complete with pivot point grease fittings for easy maintenance.

A 6-inch lift allows up to a 25-inch tall tire. But if you are using it offroad, limit yourself to a 22-inch to be safe. We also have customizable options for your a-arms with many sets of color bushings that are sold separately. The only thing left to do is complete your new off-road suspension by upgrading your golf cart's rear leaf springs to a new heavy-duty set. Call Buggies Unlimited now.

Great lift kit / wheel tire combination.
The GTW lift kit was very easy to install and align the front end. The combination of the lift kit and tires made a huge difference in the cart. It rides much smoother and I picked up about 5-6 miles per hour too. David D. at Buggies Unlimited was very helpful pointing me to the right combination of lift kit and wheels / tires to meet my needs (and he didn't tell my wife how much it cost!). Pricing was very competitive and delivery took just a couple days.

Solid lift kit!
Solid kit, quality parts and instructions. The only reason for knocking it down a star for my rating is that the design of the A-arm and the attached leaf springs does not leave enough clearance to install the nut/bolt that attach the A-arm to the frame. I had to break the leaf springs loose in order to get the nut in there then tighten everything back up. Not a huge deal just more time consuming. Ride quality is every bit as good as stock if not better and it looks amazing with the lift.

Nice lift kit, easy install. Wish instructions hade more detail/explanation.
Just received and installed last night. Instruction are ok, but could be better with a little more explanation and torque specs would help a lot in my opinion. Took me about 4 hrs start to finish (alignment included) and this was all done with hand tools since my air compressor decided to quit on me! Pretty straight forward install, cart looks awesome once finished and I’m planning to recheck all the bolts and such after some short drives.

Like I said, a few more details in the instructions would help, but overall pretty pleased with how it all turned out! Thanks.

Looks great, plan on several hours for installation
Great kit. Instructions are good but could be better. Photos showing installation are taken with the front cowling removed but since you do not have to remove the cowling to install the photos are sometimes confusing because it is not what you see.
Also if your cart is older plan on some corroded bolts and nuts. Especially the rear springs and shocks.
Once completed it looks great and seems very solid

I just received my new lift kit for my 2007 CC DS - item#18141, and realized that I didn’t order the new hubs as required. Upon tear down of the original front suspension it was tetermined that all ball joints need replacing as well. Do I purchase the ball joints for my year of DS, or do I need to order the Precedent style of ball joint consistent with the new hubs? Thank you. Very impressed with the quality of the components. Looking forward to getting this cart back into service again.

I reused the ones that were on my buggy...fit fine and worked great...only issue i had was the rod that connects both tires didnt go high enough...after further investigation i found i had a preinstalled 1.5 inch lift on front end...heated and bent to fit and allignment worked out just as directed by manufacturer...hope this helps

Are the U Bolts long enough when this is paired with a heavy duty rear leaf spring kit?

With the stock springs I have an inch and a half beyond the nuts

I have a 2005 DS Carryall with rear brakes only. Metal dust caps on the front hubs and the rear axle is mounted on top of the axle! Its gas powered if that makes a difference Will this kit fit my cart?

Should work just fine. I would recommend changing the front hubs out though. I had an issue getting the alignment correct once lifted until a new set of hubs with fresh bearings had been installed. It’s your call.

If I install this kit can i run14" rims and what size tires can I run with them  2004 ds electric ?

Safely up to 23 inch tires

Will this kit #18141, fit my 2013 Club Car Carryall 2?  I am assuming I have to disconnect the front brakes because my cart has the 4 drum brakes.  Thanks

No, if your Carryall has the factory front mechanical brakes, you would need to use the Spindle lift designed specifically for that model

Will this product fit on a yamaha golf cart?

No

I purchased a 2007 cc precedent with the gtw kit already installed. Love the ride, love the look but
It makes a loud clicking noise when going over uneven terrain. I did
tighten (or loosen) and
grease, still can't isolate
it. Please advise if able?

Sounds like a bushing problem, try and isolate the sound, then check all bushings associated with that wheel,/ and or steering mechanism/ good luck TB

I need a replacement part to this kit, how do I order the left spindle?

Hi Harley, unfortunately we are not able to break those lift kits apart to get pieces out of them. We receive them from GTW as a whole kit.

Can I just buy the leaf springs for the gtw lift kit?
How to tell what kind of hubs you have, plastic ot metal?
