Making the fire happen in the cylinder is a job that happens hundreds of times per minute. There are several parts in play, like the ignition coil for one. This unit generates the high-level voltage needed to make the spark. It is directly connected to the spark plug via the EZGO Spark Plug Wire for Marathons. This is a part that is often overlooked in troubleshooting. However, it is a common cause of a no spark issue. It is easy to knick or damage one of these during regular operation. Even stretching one of these too hard can cause internal damage. If it does not look like it's long enough, do not try to make it fit, you may damage it to the point it can't produce spark.
This golf cart plug wire works for the EZGO Marathon models between 1981 and 1994.5 but will only work for the two-cycle models. If your cart is newer than an 89, please ensure it is not a four-cycle before ordering. Call Buggies Unlimited today.
If you have a old wire that is brittle or broken it will come off due to vibration and or bumps . The lug or pin on the coil is threaded per say and a new wire you will have to screw it down . Hopefully this will fix your cart
