Product Details

The EZGO 4-Cycle 295cc Standard Ring Set is one of those parts that will wear out over time no matter what you do. Luckily, it is effortless to tell when you start to have an issue in this neighborhood. Your rings install around the top of the piston and close the gap between the cylinder wall. The piston constantly rides up and down inside the cylinder, and this motion causes natural wear to the rings. Once the gap gets large enough, unburnt fuel can make it by the rings and into the exhaust. It does not take a lot.

Once that happens enough, you will think the county came out and dubbed you the mosquito control man. You will be pouring white smoke out of your tailpipe, but this can start slowly depending on how quickly it wears. Things will begin to show up once the tolerance gets past a specific point. The smoke is one of the easiest ways to tell. It will get to the point where that is all it does. There is no point in having a paperweight that pollutes the neighborhood. Stay ahead of things like this by calling us for a great deal today.

This is a standard-size golf cart ring set. If you need an oversize like a 25 or 50 over, we can help out there too. This will only work on the 295cc engines, but if you have a 350cc, just call an expert at Buggies Unlimited, and they will set you upright.

Great site, great availability of parts for older engines.
Rings work great, received as described.

What I’m not impressed with is the answers to questions about interchangeability of the rings. One answer was supplied by a staff members.

The rings are not interchangeable, there is a specific compression ring, wiper ring and two oil control rings.

If someone weren’t observant they could put the rings in the incorrect order.

Like your site and products.

UNSATISFIED CUSTOMER
Although I have ordered multiple items from Buggies Unlimited, a recent costly purchase of a Jake’s Axel Lift Kit, of which I was informed would fit my EZ-GO, resulted in multiple conference calls with their technicians (“Todd”) to “make it work,” ended up not working; and Buggies Unlimited refusing to refund my purchase or allow me to return the three hundred plus dollar item for store credit. I requested the manger to call or provide a good time for me to speak with them, but I never was provided with that opportunity. I love my EZ-GO, and I have done a lot of business with Buggies Unlimited; however, with the lack of customer loyalty and backing of items they sell...well, let’s just say I will have to take my hard earned money elsewhere from now on

Top two piston rings does it matter witch ones top or second?

Hi William, the same rings go on the top and bottom, so two sets of these will work!

If I purchase this set, will it cover both pistons or only one?

It is only for one piston. You need 2 kits. I made the mistake of ordering one because I thought a kit would be for both pistons. Very deceiving.

What is the diameter of the piston?
