The electric motor on a golf cart is located above the rear axle on the differential. It is not a light unit. At the very least, we are talking 60 pounds. That is a lot of weight to try and deal with on your own, don't be discouraged; just convince a friend to help with the heavy lifting. Besides the overall weight, this is an easy install; you have four cables and four bolts to secure once the motor slides onto the rear end's splined shaft. The only reason to pay someone to do this is a lack of buddies to help. This 3.4 horsepower motor comes in above OEM performance. This jump in power means not only will you get a slight speed increase up to 17 miles per hour, and the torque is going to get a bump too, of about 10-15%. The spline count on this motor is 19, which not only means you can use it on you're EZGO, it can be utilized on Yamaha series carts as well. Call Buggies Unlimited and get one on the way.
