The part (oil dipstick) that was described as the replacement part that I needed, arrived and was two inches or more longer that the one that I was replacing. A call back to Buggies Unlimited, and I was told that the correct part had been sent. It was necessary for me to cut the stick to length and reduce the diameter of the rubber stopper that fits into the engine block and creates a seal.
Given that I paid in the neighborhood of $50 for a dipstick, I am disappointed and believe that I should have been sent the correct item. If there’s a silver lining, I now know how to make a dipstick!
