Cart Subtotal:
When you press the pedal on your golf cart, you expect it to take off. This is usually the first time anyone thinks of the components required to make it go when it does not. There is quite a lot involved in the process. On a gas-powered caddie, a series of cables are drawn to get the carb working correctly. Firstly there is an accelerator cable that runs from the pedal itself down to the governor. Then from there, you have an EZGO Throttle Cable. This golf cart part connects that governor to the carb and allows the butterfly valve to get opened. This is how fuel makes it to the engine. If this cable breaks, there is an obvious problem. Still, over time, as it stretches, it opens the valve less and less, reducing your acceleration. This EZGO throttle cable is not a hard part to install. You are more than prepared if you have basic tools, a jack, and a few stands. We would also recommend having someone there for an extra set of hands or even just a spotter for safety.
