The Yamaha NGK BP5HS Spark Plug for DS, TXT, G1, G16-G22, and G29 is hard-working. If you look at it in the simplest of terms, this item is an air gap between two conductors that your ignition coil uses to shoot a lightning bolt across. Your coil takes the 12 volts in the battery and amplifies it to tens of thousands of volts. Okay, so it's not quite the 300 million volts produced by an actual bolt of lightning, but it's the closest comparison we could make! You can imagine that at that level of voltage, this has got to be a high-wear item. It is going to need to be replaced several times in the life of the golf cart.This golf cart plug is easy to install. All you need is a spark plug socket. Do not try to use a regular deep-well as it could damage the plug. Make sure you don't ruin the brand new part you just bought from Buggies Unlimited.
